About Me

A Visual Storyteller

Born in Guangzhou, China, in 2000, I underwent traditional education training common to my peers in mainland China before my admission to the School of Visual Arts in New York City. My upbringing within Chinese culture, history, Communism, and Marxism has significantly influenced my ideas and artistic approach. My works predominantly explore cultural and political themes, centering on the complex interplay between individuals and society and reflecting my preoccupation with modern-day existence.

A Problem Solver

The pandemic—and losing my grandmother while my grandfather suffered a stroke—pushed me from artist to builder.  I found social entrepreneurship and entered a Human Computer Interaction Program under the College of Engineering and School of Business in University of Washington with no formal engineering background.

I learned sensors, hardware prototyping, data, and code—and put them to work. Today I bridge art, business, and engineering to turn empathy into useful, measurable tools.
